There are huge reserves for hydelpower potentiality in the hills of Meghalaya, N. There are huge deposits of rich coal in the coal fields of Margherita(Assam) and Garo Hills (Meghalaya). The oil fields in Upper Assam area are supplying huge quantities of petroleum and natural gas.
