Abstract

The pilot plant installed at Bhilai to beneficiate plus 45% CaF2 grade fluorspar from its mines at Chandigunri to metallurgical grade (+90% GaFg) has indicated that if the capacity is increased to 2.5 tonnes per day the cost of beneficiation would be reduced to Rs.400 per tonne. It is therefore suggested to increase the capacity of beneficiation plant provided feed is assured. This may involve the raising capacity of the mine besides the exploration required to bring the reserves under measured category. HSI who hold the deposits under lease should take up detailed exploration immediately.
