Abstract

Last year I exercised the privilege extended to me of speaking to you, and I am glad to have a similar opportunity this year also. You have been meeting year after year for the past nine of tan years. I suppose that earlier these meetings were called 'departmental discussions’. At some stage you chose to describe these occasions as 'seminars’. I do not speak about this one seminar. But generally I feel a little diffident about these seminars now, A number of seminars are going on everywhere; and one does suspect that perhaps there may be some 'overdoing' in this respect.
