Abstract
The NEC had proposed an outlay of Rs. 2336 crores for the 5th Five Year Plan of the Council to the Planning Commission. But the Commission allocated only Rs. 1160 crores for the 5th Plan. Similarly, as against the proposals of Rs,488 crores for the 1992-93 Annual Plan, Planning Commission only provided Rs. 2 32 crores (including Rs. 10 crores LIC loan for power projects).
