Draft Annual Plan 1973-74 Jammu and Kashmir State Volume II

Abstract

The 4th plan outlay for the schemes of Jammu and Kashmir Industries Limited was originally Rs. 170 lakhs. The implementation during the first three years remained rather slow and only Rs. 56.66 Lakhs were utilized. In due course of time however, not only was the implementation on different schemes accelerated but in view of the potential of development some of the new schemes were conceived and in the case of some’ other schemes the scope was enlarged. As a result of this the 4th plan outlay has gone up to os.577.58 lakhs. During the year 1972-73 an outlay of ps.38 lakhs was approved for different schemes but as a result o^ the acceleration of tempo of implementation the actual expenditure during the year is expected to be of the order of Rs.61.17 lakhs. The proposed outlay for the year 1973-74 is of the order of Rs. 459.75 lakhs which would mean that most of the 4th plan outlay is required during the year 1973-74.
