While Chapter 2 explains the meaning and scope of regulation in civil aviation, Chapter 3 deals with the globalisation of regulations. Regulatory aspects of the aviation industry can be divided into two distinct categories. The first category of regulations is generally called technical regulations. The second category of regulations includes economic regulations (or commercial aspects of air transport). This study primarily focuses on the economic aspects of regulation, although a brief expose is also provided about the technical regulations.
