Abstract

Assam is the gateway to North East India with full of natural and man made growth. Its natural flora and fauna, the mighty Brahmaputra and its tributaries in the north and the Barak in the south which made the two valleys fertile which contribute in production of foodgrains, tea gardens and horticultural crops. Moreover, the forest land have been providing medicinal plants, valuable woods besides availability of other natural resources like crude oil, coal and natural gas etc.
