Abstract

Prior to the formation of Madhya Bharat, the State Publicity Organisation existed only in the former Gwalior and Indore States. On the formation of Madhya Bharat, the Department of Information was constituted in the year 1949 with the officers and staff existing in those two States Necessity of reorganising the Department was felt from the very beginning so as to make it up to date and bring it on the lines obtaining in other advanced States.
