Abstract

With the Department's highest priority on Human Resource Development vis-a-vis Capacity Building Programme, during the 11th five year plan, the Department has taken up Entrepreneurship Development Programme in a very big and serious way. This programme will make the people in general and youth is particular, more skilled and efficient. The main goal of the EDP is to provide all round support guidance to the aspiring local entrepreneurs. This programme will also boost and build confidence to take up self-employment ventures. For this purpose, the Department envisages training programs by both DICs in all the four districts. This programme can and will supplement the Government's "Capacity Building Programme". Hence, this Department proposes an outlay of Rs 20 lakhs for 2011-12.
