| dc.description.abstract | Andhra Pradesh is the fourth largest state in the country covering 275.04 lakh hectares and representing 8.37% of the country's area. The projected state population is 8.40 crores as on 1st March 2010, ranking fifth in the nation. It is endowed with bountiful natural resources, having diversified cropping systems and irrigation projects fed by rivers like Godavari, Krishna, Tungabhadra, Penna etc. The state however represents regional variations in terms of physiography and climate, eventually reflecting upon the productivity levels from one region to other. | |
