Report of the Working Group on Monitoring and Information Systems at State and District Levels During Seventh Five Year Plan (1985-90)

Abstract

"Planning Commission constituted a Working Group on ""Monitoring and Information System at the State and District levels during the Seventh Five Year Plan' vide Memorandum No.M-12016/1/83 M&I dated June 30,1933. The terms of reference of the Working Group were as follows: to review the existing machinery and systems of monitoring and information in the State and district levels in relation to the tasks for the Seventh Five Year Plan and suggest improvements/changas and strengthening as may be necessary"". A copy of the Notification constituting the Working Group and the list of members of the Group is at -nnexure I. Three meetings of the Working Group were held on September 21, 1983, February 1,1984 and July 21,1984 where a number of papers/ notes (-nnezure II) were discussed by the Working Group. The Group also had the benefit of the dele berations of the Seminar on Monitoring Systems at the State level, organised‘ by the Planning Commission on October 24-25,1983."
