dc.description.abstractAgriculture continues to be the most crucial sector of the State economy which contributed about 34 percent to the total income of the State and sustains 75 percent of its population for livelihood and employment. Agriculture is so sensitive to the State economy that any situational change in this season positive or negative has a multiplier effect in the entire economy. The major industries of the State like Sugar, food processing, milk, paper, etc. are dependent on agriculture for their raw materials.
