Abstract

The State is richly endowed with natural resources and competitive advantages with geographical area of 275.00 lakh Hectares and an estimated population of 8.16 Crores as on 1st March, 2006. State is the 4th largest State in the country accounting for 8.37% of the country’s area and the 5th most populous State accounting for 7.4% of country’s population.
