Draft Eighth Five Year Plan 1990-95 Volume : VIII Hill Areas Government of Assam

Abstract

The 8th Five year plan of Assam for power sector has been prepared on the existing guidelines given by the planning Commission. The plan has been based on the forecast of CEA. in the 13th Annual power survey. As per this forecast, the energy and peak demand of Assam will increase by little more than double from the present level of 199 MU and 400 MW to the level of 3890 MU and 849 MW by 1994-95.
