Second Five Year Plan Punjab State Review for Progress for 1957-58

Abstract

At the State level the State Planning Committee consisting of all members of Cabinet has been set up, which lays down policies for the formulation and execution of schemes. This body also reviews the progress of schemes from time to time. Below this Committee there is a State Development Board composed of all Administrative Secretaries concerned with the Second Five- Year Plan. This Board co-ordinates the various programmes under the Plan, reviews progress of the Plan, discusses problems and difficulties brought before it by the various departments concerned with the Plan and endeavours to resolve them. This Board meets every month.
