Report of the Working Group on Monitoring and Information Systems in the Central Ministries and Central Public Sector Projects During the Seventh Five Year Plan (1985-90)

Abstract

The Draft Approach Paper to the Seventh Five Year plan (1985-90) presented to the National Development Council in June, 1984 has also highlighted how frequent bottlenecks in different sectors are causing adverse impacts on the economy, and has stressed the need of timely implementation of projects to improve capacity utilisation. The paper has laid emphasis for insistence of accountability for adherence to time schedule, specially for projects adding to infrastructure capacity. The relevant paragraphs X(44) and X(45) are given in Appendix I.
