Draft Report of the Energy Policy Committee

Abstract

The Energy Policy Committee was set up by the Planning Commission under the Chairmanship of Member Secretary, Planning Commission on 25th August, 1995 to recommend an outline of an energy policy for the next 15-20 years. The Committee was at a later stage chaired by Member (Energy), Planning Commission. The other members of the Committee included Secretaries to the Government of India in the Ministries of Power, Coal, Petroleum.& Natural Gas, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Environment & Forests and Deptt.
