Abstract

Before implementation of the First Five Year Plan, Agriculture was in an undeveloped condition in this Territory. Improved Agricultural techniques were unknown to the cultivators. The total expenditure Under Agriculture during the First Plan was Rs.8.69 lakhs. No specific target of additional food production was fixed during the First Plan.
