Abstract

Since the overall growth rate does entirely reflect the overall health of the entire economic, it is necessary to know the performance of the economic by broad sectors. A comparison of the sectoral growth rates by major sectors during the period 1970—80 and 1980—91 will show that the growth rates for both the agriculture and manifesting sectors have been higher for the period 1980—91 than that attained during the previous decade.
