Abstract

During Sth plan the department took up for execution of Rongai Valley Medium Irrigation Projec' at an estimated cost of Rs. 1630.00 lakhs. the department aiso referred three more schemes In- -nvestigation to Central Water Commission. These schemes are as follows: Pynthorwah Irrigation Project in Jaintia Hills District. Pynthonein Irrigation Project in Jaintia Hills District, Mawrambah Valley Irrigation Project in West Khasi Hills District. RONGAI VALLEY IRRIGATION PROJECT; the Project consists of construction of a 10. 50 metres high barrage across the river Rongai and 17 Kms. length of canal at an estimated cost of Rs. 1630 lakhs.
