Abstract

With the rapid expansion of the Development Departments and Agencies in the State, the workloads and activities of Planning and Coordination has been increased tremendously in the recent past. The Department has been carrying out its assignments like, Evaluation and Monitoring of the progress of the implementation of the various development programmes, Public Co-ordination, Formulation of Five-Years and Annual Plans, Co-ordinating the developmental activities of the different development departments, Laisoning with the different departments and Planning Commission/ Central Ministries, with great difficulties and constraints due to various impediments, such as, shortage of manpower, lack of proper facilities and resource constraints.
