Abstract
According to a United Nations survey, the world reserves of iron ore add up to about 85,000 million tonnes of which about 26,000 million tonnes are in Asia and Middle East, about 20,000 million tonnes in Europe and 20,000 million tonnes South America. The country-wise distribution of plants has not been in the order as the geographical distribution of in the world.
