Abstract

In 1964-65, the Programme Evaluation Organisation took up a study on the working of the Post-stage II Blocks, the objective of which was to take an assessment of the working of these blocks in various aspects, The study was intended to. concentrate on the nature and extent of development of the physical and human resources that had taken place in the Post-stage II block areas; the tempo of development activity achieved in different stages of the blocks; the adequacy of schemes and resources of various development departments of the State Governments that were routed through block agency in the Post stage II blocks.
