Abstract

The approved outlay for Science and Technology Sector for the Eighth Plan was placed at Rs. 240.00 lakhs and the total anticipated expenditure during the Eighth Plan period would be to the tune of Rs. 233.66 lakh;. the proposed. outlay for the nth S&T Plan in the State is placed at Rs. 439.00 lakhs where the outlay for the first year of the 9th Plan, i.e. Annual Plan 1997-98 is placed at Rs. 81.00 lakhs, the Proposed outlays for the 9th Plan and the Annual Plan 1997-98 have been proposed at 35% and 28% over and above that of the Eighth Plan and the Annual Plan 1997-98 respectively.
