Feasibility Studies for Public Sector Projects

Abstract

In the expansion of Indian industry over the last few years, the contribution of the public sector projects has been of significant benefit to the growth of the national economy. Nevertheless, if the development of public sector undertakings is reviewed in detail, it becomes apparent that a large number of the projects are taking longer in construction and to reach full production than originally envisaged and at a cost much in excess of the original estimates.
