Abstract

The above measures will assure for Delhi a Total Supply of about 275 million gallons per day, which is the estimated requirements by 1981 for a population of 5.5 Million at the Rate of 50 Gls./Cap./day. In the 1st stage, however, we have provided for increasing the supplies to about 166 Million gallons/ day which would be sufficient for the needs of about 3.5 Million population which has been estimated by the T.P. Organization for 1971. The augmentation from Western Jamuna Canal has been taken up in this proposal and in future the supplies are to be further augmented from Western Jamuna Canal and from the Ramganga Scheme of U. P. Government.
