Abstract

The Ninth Five Year Plan 1997-2002 as per the guidelines of the Planning commission has been framed against the backdrop of the experience of the Eighth Plan, the current economic situation, the directions that have emerged from the Chief Ministers’ Conference held in Delhi on 4th-5th July. 1996 and the meeting of the full Planning Commission chaired by the Prime Minister on August 19. 1996.
