Second Five Year Plan Report of the First Meeting of the Panel on Health Programmes

Abstract

No. PC(VI)HL/22(4)/55.—The Planning Commission is, at present, engaged in the preparation of the Second Five Year Plan. A Panel on Health has, therefore, been set up to advise the Commission regarding the Health Plans of the Central and State Governments, the priorities and targets for the various health programmes, the resources in men, materials and finance and training programmes required and the employment potential of construction, equipment, staff etc.; and, regulation of training and determination of standards, special technical problems involved in various specialised fields and on medical research.
