Report of the Study Team on Social Welfare and Welfare of Backward Classes Vol. I

Abstract

Two more Members viz., Shri R. L. Jangde, M.P. and Shri J. S. Lail, I.C.S., joined the Team subsequently with effect from the 17th May and the 23rd July, 1958, respectively. Shri Viyogi Hari, however, resigned from Membership on June 6, 1958 and in his place Smt. Sarojini Varadappan was appointed as Member with effect from the 20th June, 1958. The Team will study the programme of work relating to Social Welfare, included in the Plan in the Central and State sectors, with a view to economy and with particular reference to the work of the Central Social Welfare Board.
