dc.description.abstractParbhani district is one of the five districts of the Marathwada region of the former Hyderabad State, and now forms a part of the New Bombay State. It covers an area of 4,854.5 sq. miles. It is bounded on the north by Akola, Buldhana and Ycotmal districts, on the South by Osmanabad and Bhir Districts, on the East by Nanded District and on the west by Aurangabad District. There are eight Talukas in this district comprising 2 divisions as shown below: 1. Hingoli Division. Talukas—Hingoli, Kalamnuri, Basmath and Jintur. 2. Sailu Division. Talukas—Parbhani, Pathri, Partur, and Gangakhed.
