dc.description.abstractSituated in the North-West corner of the Saurashtra peninsula, the District of Halar is composed of the territories of the former States of Nawanagar and Dhrol. It is bounded on the North by the Gulf of Kutch, on the east by the districts of Zalawad and Madhya Saurashtra, on the south by the district of Sorath and on the west by the Arabian sea and the Dwarka taluka of Amreli district. Area and Population The area of the district is 3507.7 sq. miles comprising of 689 villages and 10 municipal towns.
