Annual Plan 1967-68 Government of India Planning Commission

Abstract

The Fourth Plan, which is being reviewed in the light of the latest economic trends, has not yet been finalised. Since the completion of this task was likely to take time, it was decided to formulate the Annual Plan for 1967-68 in advance of the Fourth Plan in order to avoid a pause in the development process. The Annual Plan for 1967-68 has, nevertheless, been formulated within the overall framework of the policies and programmes set down in the Draft Outline of the Fourth Plan. It takes into account also the changes in the economic situation that have taken place since the publication of the Draft Outline, as they have an immediate bearing on the development prospects for the current year.
