Ninth Five Year Plan 1997-2002 Maharashtra State Part I

Abstract

Total plan expenditure in the successive plans make an interesting reading. The plan expenditure of Rs. 435 crore in the third plan increased to Rs. 25751.66 crore in the eighth five year plan. Part of this increase is due to change in the price level in successive years But it also o signifies the increased emphasis placed by the State Government on the process of planning and coverage of more and more aspects of economic development, social development, upliftment of weaker sections of society and less developed areas of the State.
