Supply of Power for Short Term Model Agreement

Abstract

A framework that can enable distribution utilities to enter into short-term contracts for procurement of electricity from producers and suppliers is essential for enabling such utilities to meet their seasonal or periodic demands at competitive prices. For this purpose, utilities and suppliers would need to enter into short-term agreements which conform with the statutory guidelines issued by the Central Government for procurement of electricity through competitive bidding.
