dc.description.abstractForest land the high-level bauxite deposits of Bihar, Orissa, M.P. , Maharashtra are mostly in the midst of thick forest and the working of such deposits invariably tends to cause some degree of deforestation. However, in Damanjudi mine of NALCO in Orissa, in mines of HINDALCO in Bihar, end in the private non-captive mines in Bihar.
