Abstract

The net State domestic Product of M.P. at constant prices(1970 - 71) was Rs. 3805.3 Crores in 1987 - 88 The per capita NSDP was Rs.633. This represents an annual growth rate of 4.31% and 2.14% respectively during the first three years of the 7th plan. It is expected that the State will achieve the targeted growth of 5.8% at the end of the 7th Plan, despite crippling blows of two consecutive years of worst drought of the century.
