dc.description.abstractRegional imbalances are a cannon feature of the economic scene. In India, this problem has received increasing attention during the last decade. Steps to achieve dispersal of industries to less developed regions were taken during this laird Plan, but die different measures did not result in significant impact. It was realised that a more effective, policy would have to be adopted and the same required first, the identification of industrially backward areas and the second, the formulation of specific incentives end facilities.
