Bench Mark Survey Reports on Pusa Block-Bihar Mohd. Bazar Block-West Bengal and Arunachal Block-Assam

Abstract

Two of the major objectives of the work undertaken by the Programme Evaluation Organisation have been (i) to assess the extent to which the improved practices advocated by the Community Development and national extension programmes have been adopted by villagers, (ii) to obtain insight into the impact of these programmes upon the economic and social lite of the rural people. Since their posting in May 1953, the field officers of the Organisation had been making observations on these two aspects in their periodic reports. However, it was fell that special surveys should be undertaken in all the evaluation centres to collect more detailed information on these aspects.
