Abstract

The disturb condition prevailling in Mizoram has a set back in Agriculture Development. Influx of population to the town, and grouping of some vi.llages also disturbed Agricultural activities. the premitive system of jhuming which sustained people till about -20 years ago is no longer dependable nor desirable. There are various systems on the part of villagers to take to Agriculture on permanent basis. the main problem is lack of resources and the villagers will have to be assisted so that they may have a place to start with.
