Government of Mizoram Draft Annual Plan 1882-83 Volume-II

Abstract

The Annual Plan (1932-83) has been framed on a realistic basis taking into consideration the local needs and conditions/ but within the perimetere of the National objectives of achieving self sufficiency in economy and providing better life to the rural and the urban poor. Emphasis has also been laid in improving the economic and social conditions from whatever existing infrastructures available Human resource development, and generation of income through gainful employment and self employment at various levels, receive due attention that they deserve while framing the Plan. Towards this end, the need for speedy construction of road communications, development of rural and cottage industries as well as forestry and agro-forest based industries, improvement of irrigation facilities, mechanisation of agriculture, development of power etc, have been highlighted in the Plan.
