Abstract

The objectives of VIII plan of Social Welfare Department are to provide educational facilities on large scale for achieving universal coverage at various levels and to increase the rate of literacy, to increase and intensify training and coaching facilities for preparing SC candidates for various types of competitive exams where training persons are not adequately available to implement economic upliftment programmes on large scale and to provide adequate loan facilities in the form of loans as well as subsidies and to ensure that majority of SC families really cross the poverty line and settle well in life.
