dc.description.abstractAndhra Pradesh comprises of three regions i.e. Coastal Andhra, Rayalseema and Telangana with 23 districts. The total geographical area of the State is 275 lakh ha. with human population of 8.22 crore (2001 census). 72.7% of the population is in rural area and 15.80 percent are below poverty line. The literacy rate is 60.47 percent. The GDP of the State is Rs.2,29,461 crore (current prices) and about 26.8 percent of Agri GDP is from Livestock Sector.
