Abstract

The project envisages construction of a masonry straight gravity dam 188 ft. in height from the deepest foundation level RI. 245 ft.) The dam site is located across river panama tributary of river mahi) near villages Kel and Dezar of Taluka Lunawada, District Panchmahals of Gujarat State, the Latitude 23°-3' N. and longitude 73°-42’ E. The gross storeage capacity is 26 Tone. The Project provides for irrigation facilities to 38592 hectares 96480 acres (Gross) in panchmahals and Baroda districts of Gujarat and provides for water supply to industries located near Baroda city.
