dc.description.abstractJammu region has been attracting a large number of pilgrim tourists. Their most important destination has been the Mata Vaishno Devi Ji shrine. The number of tourists to Mata Vaishno Devi Ji shrine has been going up, especially since Jammu got connected by railways, and since the management of the shrine was taken over in 1986 by a Board constituted under an Act of the State Legislature.
