dc.description.abstractThe Programmes under Rural Development are mainly oriented towards poverty alleviation in rural areas. As such all the programmes under Rural Development assumes significance as they not only help in improving their standards of living but also help the unemployed youth to eke out their livelihood through various training and infrastructure facilities provided to them under Trysem Programmes. Apart from this, emphasis is also placed on the integrated approach to employment generation programmes for targetted groups particularly in rural areas. The State Government launched another two programmes, intensified JRY and Employment Assurance Programme in order to give boost to empolyment generation programmes in the state.
