dc.description.abstractThe State of Nagaland was constituted on 1st December, 1963. The State was forced with two districts of Korima and Mokokchung and later on Trensang district, which was formerly a part of NEFA, was added. Now, the State has 7 districts - viz. Korina, Mokokchung, Wokha, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Mon and Phek. The State has a population of 5.16 lakhs 1971 census in an area of 16527 square kilometres. The whole of Nagaland is a hilly terrain.
