Abstract
The object of this scheme is to produce and distribute sufficient quantity of improved seed to be able to saturate the entire state by the end of the 2nd Plan. The State has a total annual requirement of 324 lakh funds of improved seed. It is proposed to distribute one fifth of this requirement through departmental agency, leaving the balance to be covered through natural spread.
