dc.description.abstractSonebhadra is the second largest district of the Uttar Pradesh in India. It came into existence in 1989 bifurcated from Mirzapur. There are three tehsil including Robertsganj, Ghorawal and Dudhi and eight development blocks. The district has an area of 6788 sq.kms. The population of the district is 14.64 Lacs with the male population 7.72 Lacs and female population is 6.92 Lacs. Sonbhadra is very well industrial place and accommodate big industries like NCL, NTPC, ANPARA thermal power, Obera thermal power and Rihand hydro power project. Several major private industries arc situated in the district. The industrial based minerals arc Lime stone, Coal, Dolomite etc. It is also has a rich cultural heritage to attract tourists and devotees during the festival season.
