Abstract

It will be seen from the above table during 1956-57 we actually exceeded the target with regard to the distribute of seed and opening of new farms. the slight fall in the achievement during 1957-58 and 1958-59 was due to the fact that certain units could not be purchased due to difficulties in the assessment of their values. With regard to opening of seed stores all the basic seed stores targeted during the Second Plan have been established but there is a shortfall in the subsidiary seed store which will be made up shortly.
