Abstract

The 10th Five Year Plan for Nagaland had been drawn up with great hopes and expectation. The ‘approach’ to the Plan envisaged a radical change in the development strategies of the State, with an agenda for economic growth in a holistic manner, as against the earlier systems of compartmentalized Departmental and sectoral plans. In the Approach Paper; along with outlining the priorities, objectives and strategies; the critical areas of development, obstacles, lacunae as also opportunities in building up the economy of the State were elaborated.
